The Watcher is a Wraith of the Helot class who is desperately trying to keep all of his people from being sacrificed as part of a blood ritual to strengthen Count Raum and Countess Empusa.
History[]
The Watcher is first found observing Jen and Scree in Aetha's Town Square. He flees as soon as they spot him and give chase, inadvertently leading them into the Helot hiding place. He approaches and hisses at the two, demanding they leave. After seeing he has no choice, the Watcher then explains the Helot's plight.
When Jen and Scree plan to draw out Captain Valeera, the Watcher accompanies them to the well, where he blesses the water and take it to the village square. He then sets himself up as the sacrifice for the Count and Countess.
Valeera arrives as planned and Jen defeats her in combat, obtaining the sword, but a pair of guards capture the Watcher and take him away.
He is last encountered alive in the Blood Room, where he explains how Wraith blood empowers Raum and Empusa, but the blood of a hybrid may have the opposite effect. After strapping Jen into the machine, the Watcher fumbles with the machine and is intent on allowing her to be killed. Fortunately, a worried Scree knocks him unconscious and frees Jen. It is unknown what happened to the Watcher afterwards.
